PR Healthcheck

It takes only one unexpected event for your business to gain negative publicity, affecting your customers, clients, stakeholders and public reputation.

Bournemouth University (BU) can help you take stock of your current public relations (PR) position and look at ways to anticipate events and improve your public image.

Our experts will visit your premises and spend a half-day reviewing and analysing your current situation to see how you interact with stakeholders and identify risk factors. This analysis forms the basis of a one-day training course, which can be delivered on-site for up to 12 of your key personnel, focusing on:

  • An issues management strategy. Helping you to understand the principles of managing your organisation's reputation. You will learn how to avoid or manage events that could push you into a crisis or negative situation
  • Communications planning. Helping you to plan and implement a communications strategy
  • Media awareness. Helping you get better coverage and comment.

This PR training is led by Paul Vickers and Kevin Moloney and supported by a number of experienced BU specialists. Paul has 30 years experience in issues and reputation management as both a line manager and director in industry. Kevin has worked in the public relations industry in private, public and voluntary sectors.
