Consultancy
We are frequently involved in consultancy projects. They are usually funded by the companies, with the option of STRC helping in the search of funding from other sources. Recent collaboration examples include:
- Development of a portable 3D-Goniometer for recovery assessment of arms functional deficits, a one year project in collaboration with Royal Bournemouth Hospital, funded by the Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF) 4, Venky Dubey is principal investigator
- Electronic Height Measuring Device, a one year project in collaboration with and funded by Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Venky Dubey is principal investigator
- Winding temperature indicator and controller for use with power transformers, a project in collaboration with Accurate Controls, Jim Roach and Andrew Watson are consultants
- Electronic Height Measuring Device, a one year project in collaboration with and funded by Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Venky Dubey is principal investigator
Short Courses & Training
Based on our expertise listed above, we are also able to provide tailored short courses for companies and other organisations. An example of an established, very successful course is ''Sonar''. It consists of a 2-day Introduction course and a 3-day advanced Sonar course, running twice a year and attracting delegates from most of the major UK companies active in the sonar field.
